Well, it's Feb 2001 and all of a sudden I have access to a scanner, so here's a few photos of various things, including me. Make of them what you will. Enjoy. Normally, I'm not enormously keen on photographs as it does tend to go against the concept of living entirely in the present moment.
Interesting group shot taken on Fraser Island - I'm the one at the rear who seems about to pour coffee onto my brother-in-law's head. :)
Kate - one of my nieces, during one of her feline moods
Shelley - my first dog (after she was found to be too lively for the old folk's home where my Mum worked. This is an action shot - she is leaping off the ground to catch a tennis ball thrown by moi. She was totally fearless (or real dumb) because she would watch us play cricket in the back yard and catch tennis balls that were hit very hard towards her. She could have played for Australia with her reflexes and agility. Though she might have had trouble throwing the ball back to the bowler or holding a cricket bat.
Shelley again - guarding a wardrobe in the backyard. Don't ask.
Shelley being pestered by my current dog, Melon. This was 14 years ago and it's hard to believe she was ever this small or this young. She's a cross between a labrador and a German Shepherd.
Melon wondering why the dog kennel is suddenly at 90 degrees to its normal position
Mum and Dad holding somebody's baby.
Rose - another niece looking very inquisitive. Either than or she's stuck in quicksand or has been hypnotised by some wizard passing-by
Shelley again and my foot again. This time the toes are visible and as you can clearly see, I have five of them. The veins are also clearly visible which is living proof I have never resorted to intravenous drugs. At least not in this lifetime.
Shelley in the backyard, on the lookout for visitors from another planet. Or maybe she's waiting for me to toss her a tennis ball or something.
I call this photo A frozen moment in the history of the universe. You may call it something else. Some of the folks in this picture are related to me. Strange as that may seem to some of you.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Actually, it's a rock. This photo also taken somewhere in the grampians. I beleive the folks in th photo are in search of proof that this 'bird rock' is evidence that advanced extraterrestrials once visited Australia for their summer vacations.
More to come ... maybe ...
Here is a link to some interesting stuff I picked up at the 2000 Mind-Body-Spirit Expo and I thought I'd scan just as a lark ...
Here is a diagram my dentist kindly drew for me in the misguided belief that it would make me brush my teeth more often. It closely resembles some hieroglyphics found in one of the ancient mummies tombs.
A Gary Larson cartoon but don't tell anyone. He doesn't approve of his work being on the web. He wants people to buy his books which is fair enough, I suppose
More photos etc at Mum's site which is still under construction. Just added a page of
baby photos (plus an echidna, whic is something you folks in the US probly don't see wanderin around a lot) & a page of the
Gyuto monks
A bit more Larson ... shhh ... don't tell anyone ...

A cartoon of me as a genie - I wish I'd saved Peter's copies of the Dali sketches - esp the melting clocks ... oh well, maybe in my next life I'll be more attentive ...
Dave's impression of a conference ...
Some shots Mum took at Molly's third birthday April 2001 -
I just realised there is no mention of Lulu & Avis, the two dogs that used to sleep on my single bed when I was a lad. Here is a photo at mum's site - I must re-scan & enlarge it at some stage. I believe the cat is on the ledge above them, possibly the cat called 'Popcorn' ...
